MY TOP 12 PAGES FROM 2019

Gee where did this year go? I know I mutter it every year but these last 12 months were hectic to say the least and time just slipped by me. It was a year of doctors appointments, treatment, surgeries and healing. Amidst it all, I found solace in my scrapping. When I felt well enough (which really was most of the time), scrapping was and has always been my therapy. Creatively soothing the mind of worries and concerns is so good for the soul and well at times even when I was at my sickest I found the urge to create. I'd immerse myself in all those awesome digital kits which afforded me a mental escape,  a most welcomed relief from my fears.

I also started designing again! I know right, cray cray given the year I had, but like I said tapping into that creative energy is soothing. I’ve been collaborating with Lynn Grieveson Designs using her stunning digital kits to create my template designs and even collaborated with Jennifer Fehr of Simple Pleasure Designs on a collection. Next year brings some new and exciting adventures so stay tuned you just might see more of me around digiland again, but hey lets get back to the TOP 12!

I’ve noticed a theme happening in this years scrap pages, it seems I was motivated by capturing my thoughts and feelings about my family mostly my boys. There's something to be said about facing your mortality, you get busy letting everyone know how much you love them! Thank goodness, after the fight of my life, I’ve been rewarded with many more years yet on this planet, so there will be plenty more time to continue telling them exactly this, that I love them immensely.

So here you have it, my 2019 TOP 12 pages, if you want all the product details just click on the page title to be redirected. So lets get started, I’m going to begin with one of Dan, my husband, my greatest supporter, my rock. During my cancer journey he never wavered from his love and support even when he was as scared as me. I am eternally grateful to have this awesome guy in my life and well needless to say I scrapped a lot about him this year, so its a bit of a smooch fest for Cookie hehe! But hey I love ‘im to bits!
I found lots of inspiration in the talented paper scrappers out there this year and scrap lifted this page by Missy Whidden.

MY TOP 12 PAGES FOR 2018

The last few months of 2018 slipped by me in a land speed record. It was a pretty good year until September then everything changed. In retrospect, even with the enormity of what a cancer diagnosis brings, I am grateful for 2018 and how much I’ve grown. But because it was a crazy scary time in early 2019, I didn’t get a chance to share my top 12 scrapbook pages for the past year!

So here I am 8 months on, but hey better late than never...right? In selecting my top 12 for 2018, I tried pulling pages that got the most likes, pins or GSO mentions to share here, but I definitely slipped in some personal faves too, like this first one. I don’t know if you do it, but I absolutely love to revisit early photos especially ones of Tige. It’s a time when every new experience for him reopened my eyes too. Oh the joy of watching him explore his world, there is nothing quite like it!

So these are my picks. Each very different to the one before. What a year 2018 was and 2019 so far has proven to be quite an experience. Already I have some faves set aside for the next top 12 :)
Enjoy your day!
With love and light

MY TOP 12 PAGES FOR 2017

Don’t you just love to look back at your crafty work from the last 12 months? Revisiting old pages is always a little trip down memory lane. Looking at my projects from this year, I have to admit all I seem  to scrap is Tige and its been a big year with family visits, making new friends and working on the house too so you'd think I'd have much more fodder to scrap but I always tend to go for photos of Tige!

Soooo.... I think I’ll have to make my NEW YEAR SCRAPPY RESOLUTION one where I’ll endeavour to capture the other life stuffs like the daily grind & weekend adventures. Outings with friends and the milestones no matter how small. I had better start documenting that gorgeous kitty of ours Sir Slinky and all the fun projects we have been doing around the house. I promise 2018 will be a little more multi facetted with a bigger glimpse into my world.
Have fun capturing 2018 everyone, cant wait to see all your amazing pages throughout the year!
Hugs Em x

MY TOP TWELVE PAGES FOR 2016

Hi Everyone, I know its been a while since I posted here, jeepers what a hectic year! I only have one kidlet and with Tige having started school its been all systems go. Tige has been learning to read and write which is so exciting (Bring on Roahl Dahl) and making new friends at school has really taken on a whole new level of what it means to be a parent. Those little preppies are just too cute, but all year I found myself sounding like a broken record honestly who are these little peeps and where did our babies go, more to the point...'where has the time gone?’ One minute your living breathing and soaking up this ever changing baby thinking you’ve got this I wont miss a beat and then in the blink of an eye just when you're not looking that baby is off to school!

With school came a whole different set of rules. Learning to read, write and behave responsibly was on the daily menu and you as a parent are caught up in this whirl wind of 28 kids all vying for a place in this vast new world. Everyday Tige is becoming more a big boy than the little fella that was my shadow. He has made some great friends, explored new things now with a part of his life, to a certain extent independant of momma bear (insert sad face here).

He is gone all day... only to dump and run when he gets home and off he goes to play outside riding his bike with the local kids, heyyyy cooooo-eeee mumma misses you! He is swimming so well and is so competitive I wonder if it might be squad for him in a few short months. I just feel like were into a whole new phase of family, the ‘mum taxi’ era is gaining momentum!

So I thought before the year slips into a new one I’d better get this butt into gear and share some pages that I have created over the last twelve months that really resonate with me. Each of these are created using my own digital designs and Page Drafts templates by The Nifty Pixel. Some of these pages you may not have seen yet given I have been realllllllly slack in posting on my personal blog, (I do miss it around here btw) and I hope you enjoy seeing them all!
There ya go a little look at the year we had. I must admit I am not the best at documenting my year  properly maybe I can make that my New Years Resolution scrap a major event from each month rather than revisiting old photos, better luck next year... lol!

Have a fabulously festive Christmas everyone and a Wonderful New year.
Hugs Em xo

ONE PAGE FOR EVERY MONTH

Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you all had a great 2015 and an even better start to 2016.

It was a great year. One with many highs and some real lows but overall it was a year that has prepared me for the one ahead. I feel optimistic and positive which is a first in a real long time for me, funny how a few sessions with the brain doctor can get you to turn your thinking around hehe. I am now filled with excitment not dread and can't wait to see what my future holds. 2016 will be a year of personal growth and re-learning to respect and love myself again.

To start off 2016 I thought I'd look at 2015 in review and pick a few choice pages from each month. These are the ones that resonated with me and hope you like them too.
Love to you all Em xo
