WISE MONKEY!

Ever wondered if you can be truly silent?...well erm I've tried and nope no can do!  The thing is I am intrinsically an analyser I often think it too much and 8/10 times I end up being more confused than before, madness I know! But thats what happens when you end up with a quizzillion options and alternate motives all surmised about a situation that you have experienced.
Anyways I have finally realised that I shouldn't over think it! Events in my life, no matter how difficult or amazing, happen for a reason. Maybe thats not completely clear at first but after some soul searching I  now understand that sometimes you just have to stop and breath and without sounding too mung beans and rainbows just encompass it, just steal a moment to take stock of the situation.
I have learnt some of this from the little people meaning the kids in my life and of course the big people the ones closest to me that have remained a constant.
The latest release by Sissy Sparrows 'Solitary Echo' really touches on this very thing. Be Silent and own your fears. Know yourself and learn to love 'you' again and hey don't sweat the little things life is way too tentative to be wasting valuable time over small things, small mindedness and negativity! My first creative team page is one using some photos I took at a recent photoshoot a friend and I did. I edited them using my own technique for achieving a high pass look. This means its a highly saturated image and with some photo's this can look quite eye catching and works especially well with black and white photo's depending on the original lighting ;)

I was soooo buzzed when I found an email from the editor saying she had discovered my blog and wanted to offer me a position as a freelance contributor in both the digital and paper sections and of course I was doing cartwheels and felt feel so honoured to be involved with this exciting new UK publication. 

I had to take a piccie of me moments after reading this little gem of an email just so as to capture the smile I had on my dial...

HE MAY NEVER TALK TO ME AGAIN, BUT...

...I just had to share [insert evil chuckle and wringing of hands], piccies I found on my puter in the photobooth app this morning when I was cleaning it out. These little rippers were destined to be exposed in Blogland and FB, dont you agree? 


Now surely you can see why I feel so blessed to have said 'I do' to this man, thats gotta be a given! 

...ain't he just the most gorgeous catch...my hubby is a handsome, bright and intelligent man as is so clearly depicted in these priceless snaps. 


I have to assume that he left these pics for me to share with you and to have a good laugh over, I mean surely after 16 years together he would'nt think I'd leave them unveiled in the puter, he couldn't be that neglectful?


Anyways they made me laugh so much that I choked on my coffee so was compelled to share them here with you [giggle, giggle]

Wow what a week of scrapping...with creating digi designs galour, planning lots of trad lo's and 4 video tutorials I havent had a chance to do anything else, so inbetween all the madness I decided to take some time out, charge up the Photobooth on my mac and start posing, the perfecto op to take some shots of Tige and me.

{SPC#1}-SELF PORTRAIT IN A TREE!

I know strange title for a post but this is a fun one I just had to share with you guys! Go check out this new blog called 'Self Portrait Challenge'... SPC for short (no its not a can of baked beans) its actually a great Photography Challenge site that is all about 'YOU'...yep its time to take some piccies of yourself rather than everyone else and ones that are set within the confines of a theme that will be revealed each month.


This months theme is 'TREE' so of course I had to take a piccie of me hiding behind the tree in our back yard. I know its a bit 'Where's Wally' but I had to get amongst it...tee hee

Anyways there you have it SPC #1, the first challenge done and now to scrap book it using Palette #35 from The Color Room,

Enough Already!

By the time I had captured this piccie of Dan I had taken atleast 100 of them. With me barking at him look this way, no that way, smile... he decided he had enough, and I got the shot I was looking for, sod's law lol! I looove this one.
