STYLE CHALLENGE | ON THE EDGE WHITE SPACE

Hi everyone, welcome to the month of July. This month I’m hosting the STYLE CHALLENGE over at The Lilypad and I’ve noticed that lately I’m pinning lots of white space pages that have all the elements, photos and text aligned to the edge. So this month lets create an ON THE EDGE white space page where everything is placed to one side. You can use the top, bottom, left or right edges so long as its all contained on one of those sides.

MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE PAGES | THE LILYPAD

The March challenges were tonnes of fun! I love the spring inspired kits this month! Lots of bright bold happy faces in the collections. I managed to finish all of the March Polly Challenges before my surgery rolls around so am very happy with how much I got done this month and so early on in the piece. I must have roller skates on! Now its time for a rest and to prepare for the 20th March and the changes that will bring to my life. I am sure all will go well and hope that I get the all clear. Fingers & toes, actually everything is crossed! haha

FEBRUARY 2019 CHALLENGE PAGES | THE LILYPAD

I’m a bit late posting these here but I thought I'd do a quick catch up and share them now before March is over hehe. Here are my Challenge pages for February. Another month of awesome out of the box scrapping challenges from over at The Lilypad done and dusted and it feels good to get them scrapped. I love what the Polly’s come up with every month. They set achievable challenges that get you to step out of your comfort zone and even as an experienced scrapper that is a great way to get those pages done.

‘MOUNT WARNING’

Here is my page for the FEBRUARY 2019 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE.

The tissue looked like a mountain to me so I scrapped about one in my local region. I also took inspo from the Ombre effect on the box, so emulated that in the background and was inspired by the foliage and how that represented nature. Thank you for such a fun challenge, inspiration truly is everywhere!

TAG YOU’RE IT | DECEMBER RANDOM CHALLENGE AT THE LILYPAD

This month I am hosting the Random challenge over at The Lilypad which is a bit of a stash grab. I love challenges like these because you use product you may not have visited from your digi stash for a really long time. So have fun trawling through your TLP digital scrapbook product collection and find all those Labels, Tags and Tabs that are screaming out to be used. I would love to see heaps of them and when I say heaps I mean at the very least 5 should be used in your creation.

GETTING CREATIVE WITH TAGS, TABS AND LABELS:

• Sandwich Tags and Tabs between papers so they peep out from the top.
• Stack Tabs, Tags and Labels to create some fun clustered layers.
• Use Tags, Tabs and Labels to Journal on, add dates or key words to.
• Use multiple Labels to add lists to.
• Use Tags in a Bunting.
• Create a collaged gallery of Tabs, Tags and Labels.

For extra inspiration I have put together a TAG YOU'RE IT PINTEREST BOARD  that has tonnes of great ideas to inspire your pages. Also here is a quick link to the LABELS & TAGS CATEGORY  in the TLP Shop. 

Below is what I came up with. A Christmas page of lil mister and his ’T’ light Christmas ornament.

Remember our monthly challenge rules:

Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the DECEMBER Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread.

The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

2 challenges = 10% off

4 challenges = 20% off

6 challenges = 30% off

If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).

TRICK OR TREAT

Its October and that means all kinds of spookiness ahead. Just in time for all those Halloween moments you’re about to capture in your scrapbook pages there is a brand new spooktacular collection by Simple Pleasure Designs called TRICK or TREAT which ya just gotta grab. AUGUST CHALLENGES AT THE LILYPAD

Every month I love the challenges over at TLP. They get the thinking caps on, or encourage you to try new techniques and play around with your camera. This month has been all about the sweet Dawn Inskip who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. We decided at TLP to honour this fabulous lady and her creative flair by hosting challenges that focused on her style, approach to life and her designs.

These are my take on each challenge, I do hope you’ll join us in a final farewell to Dawn and her wondrous amazing life and help us to immortalise her in The Lilypad Gallery.
