I FINALLY HAVE A...

... 'my word' for 2014 which you can read about towards the end of this post, he he!

Before I reveal the word, there's lots more to share with you in this post so I'd better get cracking!
I've managed to join in on a digital challenge this month, I even scrapped a page or two for Page Drafts April Release #29! OMGosh I can't remember the last time I shared a page on a Page Draft release other than the event posts so thought I'd share them here aswell.

This first one is my challenge entry for Digi Dares, dare #360. It's a fantastic digital challenge site and this weeks prompt is a tonne of fun. It pays homage to a U.S Holiday 'Something On a Stick Day!' I know... too funny hey, so I couldn't pass up on this one purely for the sheer fact that this is completely worth celebrating ha ha.

The Dare Flair is:
● Include 2X somethings on a stick. (toothpick flags, branch, leaves)
● Include something sticky. (glue, stickers, tape)
● Background must be wood.
● Must have atleast 3 stacked or layered photo's.
● Photos must be stuck to the page. (staples, stitching, tape)

Here is my entry:

Also on a side note I thought I'd share with you that Sahlin Studio has released some new fabulous products that are coordinated Layerable Quickpage Kits. These are great packs for the time poor but
are equally as fun for any digi scrapper as they are psd files so are editable layers enabling you to move elements around, delete layers as you go or add elements from other templates within the pack.

They are so much fun and a great way to see how digital creative team members create their projects. One of my pages is included in the 'Down the Lane' Pack (Bottom Right).
To go to the shop simply click the folder preview below.

...this one was created for Sissy Sparrows newsletter. It's a new feature called 'Oldie But a Goldie'
that looks at some previously released digital kits that are worth a revisit in your stash.

Last but not least, remember I said I had my 2014 word? Earlier this year people were sharing theirs and I really wanted to jump on board but at the time I couldnt think of just one word...
Don't you think its too hard to pick just one that resonates?

So I decided to go with a positive affirmation instead, (hope that still counts he he) sooo the 'Desiderata' prose poem written by Max Ehrmann summed it all up for me. It's a truly beautiful devotion that guides you in some of lifes most important lessons and is also a reminder to love and be loved.

So here is my page, now to embrace it all...

Thats it I promise... I know 'twas a bit of an image overload he he, but I hope you like all the pages.
Thank you for dropping by and wishing you an incredible week!

GOTTA LOVE TRIFLE!

I was talking recently with my girlfriend Kyla about Christmas lunch and all its trimmings. Trifle very quickly became the topic of intensive discussion...what do you put it yours, how many layers etc. So this year I have decided I am going to make one that is a little less on the calories if at all possible and found a great recipe for the Summer Berry Trifle. Sure its still got its layers of scrumptious custard and cream, with brandy soaked sponge but the fresh berries in colourful layers will be a substitute for my usual choice of marshmallow and jelly, sad I know but I am willing to give it a go.
Anyways whilst blog hopping the other day my lovely friend Karen had posted her fabulous digi she created for a challenge over at Digi Dares so naturally I had to scoot on over and see what this weeks challenge was all about. Its been yonks since I've played along in any challenge let alone a digi one and I had been lurking in the background for some time over there and figured given the current Digi Dare #298 was all about scrapping a sweet temptation it was perfect symmetry and time to play along.
Here is my little page dedicated to a truly fabulous Aussie tradition; tis the humble Christmas Trifle. The perfect splurge of decadence at Christmas befitting of any sweets connoisseur.

My Journaling is meshed into the word art and reads:
'I absolutely love the Christmas Trifle. Its a hard one to share.
I want to eat it all myself, but I could'nt NOT share it, that would be a sin!'
Thanks for stopping by :)
