Homeward bound and some new Layouts...

Hi everyone,
Its been a while since I last posted probably because its been a busy weekend at the Gold Coast Retreat so I thought I'd make a post about what a fabbo time we all had at the Mansion on Broadbeach Waters. We had such a great time, it was so nice to catch up with old friends and make new ones aswell. To all the Challenge Chic girls love ya babes and to the Mad About Scrapping crew you guys rock!

Thanks Cozzie for organising a fantastic retreat, I hope you organise some more before the year is out and to Leanne the owner of Mad About Scrapping thank you babes for setting up shop at the house, having all your goodies at hand was awesome, I felt like a little kiddie in a lollie shop ba ha ha.

Anyways I hosted a class on how to make a box, as you can imagine there was lots of jibbing and naughty jokes about whose box was the prettiest, biggest and what was going to go in them...hmmm nothing like 25 grown up women being cheeky but we sure did have fun.

Here is the box and LO included in the kits Leanne got me to organise! Thanks again Leanne for giving me the opportunity to experience teaching, I think I have a taste for it now, lol
We also did lots of scrapping, here are a few that I created a couple more I can't share at this point but maybe I can give you a sneak peek of the last one!
'An Apple a day...' is of me at age 5 wearing my Christmas outfit! I desperately wanted to be a nurse so absolutely loved this Christmas gift.

I've also recently taken to designing my sketch templates before embarking on my final Page.I'm happy to admit I'm a stickler for getting things right the first time, given papers cost a bit...but mostly because of my formal training at Art School its all about nutting things out before creating the final product I guess in a sense a prototype. But I'm even more inclined to take 3 days to complete an LO and with time being of the essence having these little templates sorted first I find I cut out the guess work, before cutting and pasting the wrong way gets me in a tizz, tee hee. Anyhoo here are the Sketches I designed for the following LO's, you are more than welcome to use them just link it back to me so I can see your fabbo creations!
This next one is of my husband Daniel, I had to do a LO on how he is my favourite person in the whole wide world, lol. The little people you can see on the page I found at my local Model Train Store, they have so many cool things there that are perfect for using on LO's, me thinks I'll be popping down to the shop again to riffle through all the fun stuff there.
This one is my take on the 'Out of Hat' Challenge hosted by the lovely Amanda Lawrence, the criteria was to Stamp, tear and use 3 photo's which was fabbo given I had the perfect ones in my stash of my Sis-inlaw and niece.
...and lastly a sneak peek of one of the LO's I can't reveal completely just yet. But am so loving the final result, stay tuned for the rest of it in a couple of week! ;)

Well thats about it for now, thanks for popping by and until next time keep on smiling...mwah
