This one is for Dan... narley dude!

I'm counting down the days for Dan to arrive home, this hitch seems to have gone so slowly, but only 3 more sleeps and heeeee's baaaaack! Woohoo.

This weekend has been a fantastic one, Ang and the kiddies have stayed all weekend which has afforded both her and I heaps of scrapping time, well maybe more nattering went on than anything else, lol 

Though last night I did manage to complete a layout in between the pizza run and a few glasses of scotch, not bad going I have to say. Anyways the LO is of my gorgeous husband when he was 15 and a mad Sk8 boarder. I was trying for a grungy look,and think I have managed to achieve that with a bold stencilled typeface, a distressing technique using the scalpel, stamped spray paint motifs (thanks Lisa baby for lending me your awesome Bo Bunny Urban Acrylic stamps, your the best)and a transparency overlay. I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome :)

Poor Dan looks very unimpressed with his photo being taken here. Apparently much to his despair (after breaking his wrist a few months earlier), his mum made him wear all the safety gear...hmmmm not sure Tony Hawk would be donning all this garb, ba ha ha

I've also been playing around with the PSE program I have, its been a long time since I have done a digi, so I was keen to have a play around with Photoshop Elements and try and get over what seems so complex compared to my old photo editing program. 

Anyhoo here is what I came up with...  

                    

I'm as proud as punch because I created my own woodgrain mask and the painterly element with arrow is all mine!!!
