SOME SIMPLE BUT SPECIAL MOMENTS CAPTURED.

Ok...so it’s November already! Ummmmm please tell me I’m not the only one in a spin. I am already shopping for Christmas and getting ready to unwind from the whirlwind that was 2017!

Dan and I have been busy in and around our little house doing some cosmetic fixes just to tide us over until the renovations start. It’s been fun designing the new kitchen and bathrooms and nutting out a study/ reading/ library nook and finding ways to add creative storage solutions within this little space, I have to say a cheeky tipple or two has helped with the creative brain storming on this and we've managed to come up with some really cool wall shifting to accomodate all these things.

We’ve also been cray cray busy in the yard kulling the jungle a little bit. I feel like the house can breath now and with the clear out of some really overgrown bushes & vines we've been able to visualise the planting easier. I really wanted to start on the garden asap so that by the time the house is completed the garden will be well and truly on its way to becoming a tropical oasis. It's been tonnes of fun learning about plants and I've enjoyed watching the fruits of our labour in the front yard grow over the past 8 months... gotta love our weather here its a veritable hothouse for plants to flourish.

I promise to share some photos when the fences are done which is planned for next week, bring on the paint compressor and good old Monument paint hehe.

SCRAPPING SOME CHALLENGES

Happy New Year everyone hope you had a magical Christmas and new year celebrations. For us it was a quiet one and now we have some family visiting from down south so lots of lazy days at the beach and by the pool ahead of us...my favourite time of the year! 

I've also been hauled up inside gravitating towards the aircon its been just a touch hot the last few days so its been the perfect time to have a play with my two favourite challenges, CSI: Color Stories and Inspiration January casefile and the Kraft Plus January Moodboard.

STRENGTH & SWEETNESS

This months Scrap Pack has just been released at Scrap Stacks. I love the vibrant colours and of course The Nifty Pixel has contributed a mini kit to the July pack. It's called Core Radiance and is perfect for all those fitness inspired pages!

Here is a page I did using my mini pack and it's all about how proud I am of my hubster.

I have also been busy playing with Pink Reptile Designs new BYOC kit for July.

The kit is so summery and perfect for fighting off the Winter blues. Just love pulling out the Summer photos this cutie playing just adorbs my lil boy... I could burst!

I decided I'd play in the K+ Challenge again this month, the palette and recipe got me all gee'd up for a fun challenge and well this one fit the bill perfectly as some of the criteria also fitted in with what I just released yesterday in my store gotta be some symmetry there hehe!

Here is the challenge recipe and swatch.

I have added in some yellow {COTTON} some {WASHI TAPE}, a {SPRINKLING OF SILVER} using silver glitter and a silver foil leaf. The Title is a {STAMPED} alpha. {3X TAGS} are included two of which are stacked under the photo the 3rd being a small date tag on the right. The only new thing I created for this page was the {POLKA DOT} + {KRAFT PAPER} which is the main challenge criteria.

You may have noticed that although I love scrapping using colourful palettes, they tend to be slightly subdued and not really bold, well lets just say I think my fear of Primary colours has slightly dissipated after creating my latest kit 'Paddy's Luck'. WORKING THE CAMERA!

After the past few weeks with my head down bottom up learning the ropes as a digital designer I have'nt had a chance to really play and scrapbook....but there must be some lil angels of fun lurking about because I have managed to get my scrappin' on the past couple of days!

Here is my page for the Kraft Plus Challenge Site which is open to digi scrappers too....YAY... I am so happy that it is because I love the palette & image swatch and really wanted to play along with this one. 

So here is my sub and yep it features the lil mister again! hehe. I decided to reference the photo prompt by emulating the 3 layers of colour and then layered my sequence of photos on top of some stacked textured and pattern paper pieces. You can see I have used the Kraft paper as a base which is part of the criteria and then I also added some more Kraft into the page with the addition of a row of pennants. I really had fun with this challenge and think I might continue playing along ;)

WE ARE SILLY!
