ON REFLECTION...

...time goes so quickly and yet looking back on the past 12 months it seems like a lifetime ago.
How often do you say or think this? For me its definitely a common thread in my day to day. I am astounded at how I feel like life is quickening. I wish there was a pause button or an opportunity to rewind back so that I can really savour what really matters…the simple things, those moments that can pass you by without noticing they even existed.

I need to slow down and I need to reflect in the here and now rather than pushing forward all the time!

Lately I have been thinking strongly of people…by that I mean that they are strong in my thoughts. Sometimes this can be unnerving especially when that very person whom I have been wondering about or that I have made a mental note 'I must call them later tonight' contacts me out of the blue!
 THIS BLOWS ME AWAY!
Its happened so often this past couple of months I am starting to think maybe I'm psychic (lol) or that there really is a thread that binds you to the people that resonate with you. Whatever it is I am happy to have these connections and am grateful to everyone of you for sticking by me, supporting me through the good and bad and for well you know what... being the amazing people you are!

Okay so enough of the love letter and more about sharing some news and new projects with you he he.

As of last week I returned to Sahlin Studio and rejoined Krista's creative team…how exciting!!!!
I have missed playing with her kits and hanging with the girls, its truly like an extended family and so in a way its like coming home! Today Sahlin Studio released its fabulous new kit 'Reflection' which you can now grab at The Lily Pad store!

Its a gorgeous pack filled with lots of delicious goodies. Here are a couple of pages I created using this fabbo kit!

This first page is one I created for the October YSMY Challenge set by Lucy Muraca, I know a bit late but when I saw this kit I knew I had to play along.

The idea was to create a page using a series of photo's found here on Flickr featuring a young girl called Phyllis Ecklund.  There are about 8 or 9 photobooth pics of her and although I put my detective cap on could not find any more information about this young lady that loved to tie her hair in different styles and then document them. I wonder what name she goes by now, did she become a beautician, what is her life story…would lurve to know more!

This next page is of none other than master Tige and yeesh he is cheeky and no I don't care the cheekier the better in my books he he. Anyways here he is giving me that look of disdain that he does so well and the other faces that you see more of these days, THE FACE PULLING is hilarious especially followed by the cute little giggle.

  3. I absolutely love visiting your blog. You are one of few that take the time to 'smell the flowers' as they say. You reflect on the little things in life which we should all do once in a while. Yes time flies...my son will be 1 in less than 2 weeks. Where did this year go? Last year at this time all I could do was wonder what he'd be like...

Beautiful work, gorgeous design on both...your little guy is such a character! So very cute!!

  4. Gorgeous pages Em and, yes, I agree with you, time goes by too fast and yes, there is a thread that binds you to the people who are important in your life!! We had friends drop by last week that we hadn't seen for years and yet we talked and laughed as if it was only yesterday! It was wonderful! Love your pages. Those photos of Phyllis Ecklund remind me of someone. I wonder if she changed her name and became a movie star, she just looks familiar to me. Or I might just be away with the fairies!! hehe! Love your layouts, totally awesome and the photos of your little man ... priceless!!! ox
